Interview with Potter County Judge GOP candidate Michelle Eggleston

Michelle Eggleston is running for Potter County Judge to bring long-term planning, accountability, and common-sense leadership to county government. Having raised her family in Potter County and with more than 30 years of legal experience, she believes that every challenge facing Potter County—from public safety and infrastructure to declining population and limited revenue—starts with the need for a clear, forward-looking plan.

A lifelong conservative and small business owner, Michelle has spent over two decades practicing in the Potter County Court, helping local families and businesses navigate complex legal issues with fairness, competence, and compassion. Her years in the courtroom have given her a close understanding of how county government works and how it can be improved through better planning, innovative budgeting, and stronger collaboration.

Beyond the courtroom, Michelle has served her community through leadership roles with the Don Harrington Discovery Center, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Amarillo Education Foundation. She was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Licensed Professional Counselors and currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Oklahoma Christian University.
