Two men are dead following a violent incident early Sunday morning on November 30, 2025, in northwest Amarillo.
Around dawn, Amarillo Police Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of NW 9th Avenue after multiple 911 callers reported gunshots and people fighting in the area. When officers arrived, they discovered two male victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate efforts to assess their conditions, both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have identified the victims as 18-year-old Chrisavion Deontay Green and 42-year-old Andy Wayne Curtis Galloway. Authorities confirmed that next of kin for both men have been notified.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, the suspects fled before officers arrived. Detectives with the APD Homicide Unit are now leading the investigation, working to piece together what led to the deadly confrontation. Officers remained on scene for several hours Sunday morning, documenting evidence and canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses.
APD is urging community members to come forward with any information that could aid the investigation.
