Texas State Representative Caroline Fairly has formally announced that she will seek another term representing House District 87, positioning herself for what is expected to be a competitive general election contest in November 2026.
Fairly’s campaign confirmed that she has secured high-profile endorsements ahead of her reelection effort, including support from President Donald J. Trump, Governor Greg Abbott, and U.S. Senator Ted Cruz. The backing places Fairly in a strong position within the Republican Party as she moves into the next election cycle.
“I’m running for re-election because West Texans deserve a representative who will never stop fighting for our shared conservative values,” Fairly said in her announcement. “During my first session, I have worked tirelessly to earn the trust and confidence of the panhandle community. The immense support I have received so far is a testament to what we’ve accomplished and what we will continue to achieve next session.”
During the 89th Legislative Session, Fairly supported a series of measures aligned with key Republican policy priorities. According to campaign officials, she voted to increase the homestead exemption, pushed digital safety legislation and efforts to create cell-phone free school environments, and backed the development of a statewide database tracking firefighting equipment and aircraft. She also supported increased funding for high-risk rural fire departments.
Her campaign further highlighted her record on border security and law enforcement, as well as her support for Education Savings Accounts and restrictions on land ownership by foreign adversaries. Additionally, Fairly backed major water-infrastructure investments, securing what officials described as $20 billion for statewide projects.
“This past session proved that conservative leadership delivers real results,” Fairly said. “I’m proud of what we accomplished, but we’re not done. West Texas must remain firmly seated at the table in Austin, and I will continue picking up the phone, doing the hard work, and fighting every day to ensure our priorities cross the finish line.”
