Texas House District 87 Representative Caroline Fairly has been appointed to the Texas Energy Fund Advisory Committee by Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows, marking a new role in shaping the state’s energy future.
According to Fairly’s office, the advisory committee plays a key role in strengthening Texas’ electrical grid. It provides recommendations to the Public Utility Commission of Texas on how funds should be used for the construction, operation, and improvement of electrical facilities statewide. The committee also conducts regular evaluations of the fund’s structure and effectiveness to ensure it meets the state’s growing energy demands.
“I am honored to serve on the Texas Energy Fund Advisory Committee,” said Rep. Fairly. “Reliable and resilient energy infrastructure is essential to the continued growth and success of our state. I look forward to working with fellow members to ensure Texas remains a national leader in energy production and innovation.”
In addition to oversight responsibilities, the committee advises on policies and best practices to guide the effective deployment of resources from the Texas Energy Fund. Its work is seen as critical as Texas continues to expand its population and industrial base, placing increased pressure on the state’s power grid.
Speaker Burrows emphasized the importance of leadership in this area, stating, “The Texas Energy Fund’s success depends on strong oversight, accountability, and strategic policy direction. Representative Caroline Fairly has been a leading voice for energy investment and economic growth in the Texas House. I am confident she will play a key role on the fund’s advisory committee, helping guide the state’s investment priorities and infrastructure planning to position Texas for continued growth and competitiveness.”
