The Texas Panhandle Regional Democratic Headquarters is scheduled to open Friday, Jan. 10, with a public grand opening event beginning at 2 p.m. The new office is located at 520 S.W. 10th Ave. in Amarillo.
Party officials said the headquarters will serve as a centralized space for Democrats across Potter County, Randall County, and the broader Panhandle region. The facility is intended to support organizing efforts, voter engagement activities, and coordination for Democratic candidates.
According to organizers, the grand opening is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend.
“We are thrilled that the Texas Democratic Party has recognized the movement we are building in the Panhandle,” said Karmyn Seaberg, chair of the Randall County Democratic Party. “We are coming together for democracy. With this new space, we can work to change the direction of our government and continue restructuring our party to serve Texans better.”
Officials said the regional headquarters is designed to strengthen collaboration among local Democratic parties and provide a consistent presence in a part of the state where resources and infrastructure have historically been limited.
Julian Fulton, chair of the Potter County Democratic Party, said the new office represents a significant step for Democrats in the region.
“It’s wonderful that Potter, Randall, and Panhandle Democrats finally have a home base in the area,” Fulton said. “We’re at the top of Texas, and this space allows us to build a stronger bridge to Austin. Change is desperately needed at all levels of government. Power without accountability becomes oppression, and that is where we stand with current leadership.”
