The West Texas A&M Buffaloes have been selected to participate in the 2025 Heritage Bowl Powered by Riot against Arkansas Tech on Saturday, December 6th at Corsicana ISD's Tiger Stadium in Corsicana, Texas with kickoff scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
West Texas A&M is making their seventh bowl game appearance and the first since 2011. It will mark the first ever meeting on the gridiron between the Buffaloes and Wonder Boys.
The Buffaloes finished the regular season on a three-game win streak, going 7-4 overall with a 7-2 mark in Lone Star Conference action. Josh Lynn's third season guiding the Buffs has seen the program register the most victories since the 2021 season while WT's seven league victories is the most since 2012.
Arkansas Tech enters the Heritage Bowl with an overall record of 7-4 as the Wonder Boys went 7-4 in Great American Conference play. Rot Thompson is in his first season at the helm of the Arkansas Tech football program, being named the program's 18th head coach in December of 2024.
The Heritage Bowl Powered by Riot (formerly the Corsicana Bowl, Heritage Bowl, and Fun Town RV Heritage Bowl) is an annual Division II Post-Season Collegiate Football Game held in Corsicana ISD's Tiger Field at Community National Bank & Trust Stadium in Corsicana, Texas. Established in 2017, the game is played each year the first Saturday in December. The two participating teams will consist of schools competing in the Lone Star Conference, Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association and/or the Great American Conference.
