As construction continues on Rockrose Sports Park, Kids, Inc. is giving Amarillo-area families, former athletes, coaches and businesses a chance to become a permanent part of the new sports complex.

The organization has launched its “Leave Your Mark” brick campaign, allowing community members to purchase personalized bricks that will be installed near the park's entrance when the facility opens in 2027.

The campaign offers supporters an opportunity to celebrate family memories, honor former coaches and players, recognize loved ones or simply show their support for an organization that has been part of the Texas Panhandle's youth sports community for generations.

For many families who have spent countless evenings and weekends at Kids, Inc. games, the bricks could provide a lasting reminder of their connection to youth athletics.

“Rockrose is becoming a reality, and we can’t wait to welcome our community through the gates in 2027!” Kids, Inc. said in its announcement.

Personalized Bricks Available Through December

The fundraising campaign runs through Dec. 31, with personalized bricks and designs ranging from $150 to $2,500.

Proceeds will support the ongoing development of Rockrose Sports Park, an ambitious project designed to expand recreational opportunities for young athletes throughout Amarillo and the surrounding region.

Kids, Inc. is also promoting the bricks as a unique holiday gift for families looking to give something with a lasting connection to the community.

Those who purchase a brick as a Christmas gift before Dec. 15 will receive a special Christmas card containing information about the brick and its donor.

The organization hopes the campaign will bring together generations of Kids, Inc. supporters, from former players and longtime volunteers to businesses and families whose children are just beginning their athletic journeys.

“Be there from the first step. Give a gift. Honor a legacy. Become part of Rockrose Sports Park,” the organization said.

Construction Progress Continues at Rockrose Sports Park

The brick campaign comes as construction crews continue making progress on the sprawling new sports complex.

According to the latest update from Kids, Inc., all eight baseball and softball fields have been fully turfed, marking a significant milestone in the project's development.

Work on the concession stands and pavilion is also nearing completion, while turf installation on the multipurpose fields is expected to begin soon.

Kids, Inc. officially broke ground on Rockrose Sports Park in October 2025, setting the stage for one of the organization's largest recreational development projects.

The planned 80-acre facility will feature fields for baseball, softball, soccer and football, along with open green space and walking trails.

The complex is being designed to accommodate local youth leagues while also providing the facilities needed to attract regional tournaments.

Those tournaments could bring visiting teams, families and spectators to Amarillo, creating additional opportunities for local hotels, restaurants and businesses.

Building a Legacy Beyond the Playing Fields

While the new fields and facilities will provide space for future generations of athletes, the brick campaign focuses on the people who have helped make Kids, Inc. part of the community.

For former players, it offers a way to remember their time on the field. For parents and grandparents, it provides an opportunity to recognize young athletes or honor family traditions. Businesses and community supporters can also leave a permanent mark on the facility.

And when Rockrose Sports Park welcomes its first visitors in 2027, those personalized bricks will be among the first things families see as they enter the complex.

With construction moving forward and the fundraising campaign underway, Kids, Inc. is encouraging supporters to take part in the project before the Dec. 31 deadline.
