Three people have been indicted in Potter County in connection with the May 2 shooting at Westminster Apartments that left two teenagers dead and 10 others injured.
A Potter County grand jury indicted Eh Gay Htoo Win, 20, Jame Htoo, 17, and Excellent Vyizigiro, 17, on charges stemming from the deaths of Deven Antonucci and Ezekial Almazan.
The shooting began after several people were asked to leave a party in Amarillo's San Jacinto neighborhood, according to court documents. Investigators say one person in the group was visibly armed. After being told to leave, the group allegedly became angry and followed partygoers to another apartment where the gathering continued. Detectives say they tried to get inside before opening fire.
Police used Flock camera footage to identify a black Jeep leaving the scene shortly after the shooting. Detectives later went to the address where the vehicle was registered and reported seeing Win place a bag into the trunk of a silver car.
Officers stopped the car after the driver allegedly ran a stop sign. Win and Vyizigiro were among four people taken into custody during the traffic stop.
Police said the bag contained firearms that matched shell casings recovered from the shooting scene. Witnesses also identified Win as the armed person seen at the first party before the gunfire erupted. Detectives said cell phone records for both Win and Vyizigiro were consistent with the movements of the suspect vehicle on the night of the shooting.
Win was arrested the day of the shooting. Htoo was booked into the Potter County Jail on unrelated charges May 18, and homicide detectives obtained a murder warrant for him two days later. Vyizigiro was arrested May 28.
