Police Investigating Two Fatal Crashes

Amarillo police are investigating two separate crashes that left two people dead over the weekend. The first happened Saturday night near St. Francis Avenue and Irwin Road when a pickup struck another vehicle, left the roadway and rolled several times. A second fatal crash happened early Sunday at South Georgia Street and Southwest 15th Avenue after investigators say a driver ran a red light, triggering a chain-reaction crash involving several vehicles. The identities of both victims have not yet been released as officers continue their investigation.
