According to the Amarillo Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Jasmine Street shortly before 9 p.m. Monday in response to reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a 14-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency responders transported the teen to a local hospital for treatment, but despite medical efforts, he later died from his injuries.
