The Amarillo Police Department reported a disturbance involving a large group of people that led to multiple arrests on Saturday following a reported fight on the city’s south side.
According to information released by Amarillo Police Department, officers were dispatched on May 30 to the 2700 block of Westhaven Circle after receiving reports of a confrontation involving an estimated 10 to 15 individuals. While units were en route, dispatchers also received additional calls indicating a possible shooting at the same location.
When officers arrived, they determined that a physical altercation had occurred among the group. Authorities later confirmed that four women were taken into custody in connection with the incident. Those arrested were identified as 21-year-old Amaan Dakkai, 22-year-old Ayel Madilak, 20-year-old Achok Aguer, and 19-year-old Yar Dakbai.
All four individuals were charged with offenses related to disorderly conduct and pedestrian-related roadway violations. No additional details about injuries or gunfire were confirmed at the scene.
