Amarillo police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a March 22 shooting on South Mississippi Street that left two people injured.
Investigators identified the suspect as 20-year-old Adan Moyces Lamas, who was taken into custody Monday and booked into the Potter County Detention Center. Lamas faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said no bond has been set at this time.
The arrest follows an earlier development in the case involving another 20-year-old suspect, Asaiah Zuniga-Valle, who was taken into custody last week. Investigators allege the shooting occurred during a house party, where Zuniga-Valle was reportedly asked to leave before returning with an AR-15-style rifle and firing into the residence, injuring two individuals.
Court documents indicate that Lamas is accused of driving the vehicle used to flee the scene after the shooting. Records show he was arrested in the 2800 block of South Wilson Street.
