Randall rolls past Pampa 62-7

Randall’s offense was firing all cylinders on Friday night, as the Raiders rolled into Pampa and left with a dominant 62-7 victory to secure a playoff berth while officially ending the Harvesters’ postseason hopes. It was one of those games where everything seemed to click early and never slowed down, with Randall setting the tone from the opening drive and maintaining control on both sides of the ball.

The biggest headline of the night came at quarterback. Randall made a bold shift, turning to junior Braylen Preciado for his first career start under center—and he delivered far beyond expectations. Preciado looked calm, confident, and explosive, completing 12-of-16 passes for 334 yards and five touchdowns. He also showcased his athleticism in the run game, rushing for 74 yards and two more scores on just nine carries. For a first start, it was about as complete a performance as a coaching staff could hope for.

The receiving corps made Preciado’s job easier by consistently finding space and turning short gains into big plays. Phoenix Sherwood caught only three passes, but all three went for touchdowns, totaling 136 yards. Meanwhile, former starting quarterback Kaison Benton made his debut at receiver and looked natural there, pulling in four catches for 105 yards and a score. The position switch not only worked—it opened up the offense in a major way.

While Randall continued to climb, the loss dropped Pampa to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in district play. The Harvesters fought hard early, but they simply could not match Randall’s speed and execution on either side of the ball.

For the Raiders, this performance showed a team hitting peak form at just the right time—and with a newfound spark at quarterback, the ceiling may have just gotten higher.
