Trump orders ICE to ramp up deportations in Democrat controlled cities

President Donald Trump on Sunday night directed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to intensify deportation efforts in major Democratic-run cities, specifically targeting Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York. The directive, posted on Truth Social, comes in response to protests in Los Angeles over the administration’s aggressive immigration policies.

In a 407-word statement, Trump called on ICE to “do all in their power” to achieve what he described as “the largest Mass Deportation Operation of Illegal Aliens in History.” He accused Democrats of using “Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens” to expand their voter base, manipulate elections, and grow the welfare state, claiming these actions rob American citizens of jobs and benefits. “These Radical Left Democrats are sick of mind, hate our Country, and actually want to destroy our Inner Cities,” Trump wrote, singling out sanctuary cities as hubs of crime and dysfunction.

The president’s directive follows reports from White House aide Stephen Miller, who last month outlined a goal of at least 3,000 ICE arrests per day. Trump praised ICE officers for their “incredible strength, determination, and courage” in the face of violence, harassment, and threats from “Radical Democrat Politicians.” He further criticized Democrats for supporting “open borders,” transgender rights, and men competing in women’s sports, framing these as symptoms of a broader agenda to undermine American cities.

The escalation has sparked significant backlash. In Los Angeles, protests against ICE raids prompted Trump to deploy military troops to the city last week, leading to clashes with local residents. California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, both Democrats, condemned the move. A federal appeals court on Thursday temporarily lifted a judge’s ruling that deemed the National Guard deployment illegal, allowing troops to continue assisting with immigration enforcement in the city.

Trump’s directive signals a broader push to prioritize immigration enforcement in urban centers, which he claims have been transformed into “Third World Dystopia” due to unchecked migration. The administration has pledged to allocate all available resources to reverse what Trump calls a “tide of Mass Destruction Migration.”

As ICE arrests reportedly surpass 100,000 under Trump’s leadership, anti-ICE demonstrations continue to grow, setting the stage for further confrontations in Democratic strongholds.
