The Armstrong County Sheriff’s Office has identified a suspect in last week’s shooting outside an Allsup’s convenience store in Claude that left one person injured.
Sheriff Melissa Anderson said Rigoberto “Rigo” A. Gonzalez II, 19, is wanted on charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Gonzalez is described as a Hispanic male, standing five feet eight inches tall and weighing 185 pounds.
The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. on September 30, when a red pickup truck and a red four-door car were parked alongside the store. According to investigators, an exchange of words between the occupants of the vehicles led to gunfire.
One person in the pickup was taken to the hospital for treatment, while the sedan sped away down nearby backroads.
The suspect’s vehicle, a red Kia Forte, was located in Amarillo the following day.
