Late Saturday morning, Amarillo police officers were dispatched to Wolflin and Port on a vehicle versus pedestrian accident. Officers arrived in the 6800 block of Wolflin to find a man being medically treated by witnesses. Officers took over until AMS and the Amarillo Fire Department arrived.
According to reports, a black 2018 Dodge Journey, driven by 78 year old Dianna Wood, was traveling westbound on Wolflin. She proceeded through the intersection at Wolflin and Port where she struck the pedestrian as he crossed the street diagonally southbound.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. He was identified as 69 year old Johnathan Mack Minium,
Wood was not injured in the accident.
