Sunday morning shooting leaves one person dead, suspect arrested

Around 6:00 am Sunday, Amarillo police officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of Parker in reference to a man being shot. 

Upon arrival, officers found 27 year old Orlando Garces Jr deceased inside the residence from apparent gunshot wounds. 

Officers  arrested 25 year old Daniel Mireles Jr at the scene. Mireles Jr was booked into the Randall County Jail for murder. 

This incident is being investigated by the Amarillo Homicide Unit.
