Friday morning shooting leaves one person injured


Early Friday morning, Amarillo police officers at an area hospital were advised a gunshot victim had been brought in by a private vehicle. The victim’s injuries were serious, but not be life threatening. 

According to police, the shooting occurred in the 2600 block of Amarillo Boulevard East. The victim was at a food truck with friends. 

Witnesses said an argument started between the suspect and victim. The suspect fired three shots at the victim to the hospital. 

The suspect is not in custody.
