Woman arrested for stalking Amarillo City Councilman Don Tipps

A criminal complaint filed Friday accuses a woman of stalking Amarillo City Councilman Don Tipps since May 2023. The same woman is also accused of stalking three other people in 2022.

According to court documents, Mary Alexandra Frye, 29, was arrested and booked into the Deaf Smith County Jail. Bond was recommended at $500,000.

Frye sent numerous electronic communications to Tipps over the past several months. Some of the messeges included pictures of the suspect.

If Frye is released from jail, she will not be allowed to:

Have any contact, direct or indirect, with Tipps

Go with 200 feet of Tipps' home or work

Menace, intimidate or otherwise harass Tipps

Possess a gun

Use drugs or alcohol

She must also wear a GPS monitoring device (ankle bracelet).
