Laura Storrs named interim Amarillo Deputy City Manager

During a special meeting of the Amarillo City Council om Tuesday, interim City Manager Andrew Freeman announced that Laura Storrs will be serving as the interim Deputy City Manger. 

The Deputy City Manager position was vacant due to Freeman's appointment as the interim City Manager after the departure of former City Manager Jared Miller.

Before her appointment to interim Deputy City Manager, Storrs served as an Assistant City Manager and Chief Financial Officer for the City of Amarillo. Storrs career with the city of Amarillo includes:

Storrs is a certified public accountant and holds a Master of Professional Accounting from West Texas A&M University. She was born and raised in Amarillo and is proud to serve her community through her role at the City.
