Wednesday morning shooting leaves man with life threatening injuries


Early Wednesday morning, Amarillo police officers were dispatched to Amarillo Boulevard and McMasters on a male who was shot. 

While officers were headed to that location, they were advised that the victim had been taken to an area hospital by private vehicle. The victim’s injuries were life threatening. 

Officers learned that the shooting possibly occurred in the 900 black of N. Jefferson. They went to the location and discovered a crime scene. The scene was processed, and evidence collected. 

No arrests have been made in this incident. This case is being investigated by the Violent Crimes Unit.
