Arrests made in connection to recent burglaries at Amarillo swimming pool

On Wednesday, August 9, Amarillo Police Department burglary detectives were asking for help from other officers to possibly identify suspects in a break in at the pool at John Stiff Park. The detectives were using still photos from surveillance video.

An APD officer recognized one of the suspects as a juvenile they had encountered before. Detectives were able to obtain enough information through further investigation to identify both male suspects.

The suspects were arrested and booked into the Youth Center of the High Plains. Because of the work by the officers and detectives, 5 burglaries at the park pool have been solved.
