Shooting in south Amarillo leaves teen in critical condition: Several suspects arrested


Late Thursday afternoon, Amarillo police officers were dispatched a shooting at an apartment in the 2800 Block of SW 28th Avenue. 

Officers located a 17-year-old male that had been shot. The teen was transported to a local area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
APD patrol officers and Violent Crimes Detectives located witnesses and determined that there had been an attempted robbery that led to the shooting. 

Chase Hunt, 17, was identified as the suspect in the shooting. He was later located and booked into Potter County Detention Center for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. 

Dylon Raymor, 17, was arrested for tampering with evidence, failure to report a felony causing serious bodily injury, and unlawfully carrying a weapon. He was booked into the Randall County Jail. 

Cameron Hunter, 21, was also arrested for failure to report a felony causing serious bodily injury. He was booked into Randall County Jail. 

A juvenile suspect has also been charged in the incident.

This incident remains under investigation.
