Amarillo police seize over $16 million in fake merchandise from local business


In August of 2022, a report was made to the Amarillo Police Department concerning trademark counterfeiting being committed at a local business. 

A joint investigation with Homeland Security Investigations Amarillo field office and the Amarillo Police Department began. 

During the investigation two search warrants were obtained for the business, Chino’s, and a local storage property. Members of the Amarillo Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations special agents executed the search warrants on Monday, November 21, 2022. 

Over 13,013 counterfeit items being seized. The total MSRP for these items is over $16 million dollars, including fake Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Nike, and Rolex, among many others. 

No arrests have been made and the case is still under investigation.
