15 year old shot during fight between several juveniles at Avondale park

Saturday evening, Amarillo police officers responded to a fight and shooting at Avondale Park.

When officers arrived, they discovered a 15-year-old boy with multiple gunshot wounds. The boy was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses informed officers that several juveniles were involved in a fight at the park prior to the shooting. During the fight, one of the subjects pulled a gun and shot the 15 year old.

The APD Juvenile Investigation Squad continues to investigate this incident.
