APD looking for suspect who hit motorcycle officer with car


Early Sunday afternoon, an Amarillo Police Department motorcycle officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on McMasters Street at southwest 3rd Avenue. The suspect vehicle backed into the officer, pushing the bike and the officer about 20 feet back, before leaving the area northbound on McMasters.

The officer was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as being a small black car.
