Every Drop Counts poster contest begins Sunday

The City of Amarillo Every Drop Counts poster contest has become a summer tradition in Amarillo – with a message that is the foundation of the tradition.

The EDC poster contest is an annual reminder of the importance of water conservation and also showcases the talents of young artists.

The contest starts Sunday (March 20) and ends May 6.

The EDC poster contest is a way for Amarillo’s youth to increase awareness of water conservation.

The contest is open to students from kindergarten through 12th grade in the Texas Panhandle. Thirteen winners will receive a prize, including a dining gift card and Amarillo Sod Poodles merchandise. This is the largest prize pot in EDC history. Winners will also have their artwork featured in the next EDC calendar.

Winners and prizes will be announced at the May 24 Amarillo City Council meeting.

Entry forms, general rules and prize information are available at water.amarillo.gov
