Police seize drugs and weapon in San Jacinto: Two people arrested

Amarillo narcotics officers served a search warrant earlier this week in the 800 block of S. Mississippi.

During the service of this search warrant, officers seized 9.5 lbs of methamphetamine, 3 lbs of marijuana, 4.3 grams of crack cocaine and 1 assault rifle. Officers also made 2 arrests from this search warrant.

Sammie Barrow Jr. and Narvella Mitchell were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute 500 grams or more, and these were filed at the federal level because it fell into the PSN(Project safe neighborhood) zone. 

There are more potential charges that could be filed in this case.
