6th annual Panhandle Gives campaign now underway

The 6th annual Panhandle Gives campaign is November 22-30. This year, 175 organizations spanning 20 counties are participating.

For the 2nd year in a row, the Amarillo Area Foundation, who hosts the event, will cover all the online donation fees. That means when you give online, 100% of your gift goes to the organization and will have additional money added to it from the Amplification Fund.

Panhandle Gives is an area wide effort to raise awareness of the nonprofit needs for communities across the 26-county region of the Texas Panhandle as well as the monetary needs nonprofit organizations have during this critical time of year.

Donors who wish to give offline can make donations at any Amarillo National Bank, Happy State Bank, or FirstBank Southwest locations in the Texas Panhandle. There, donors can designate their donation to a charity in the memo line or make a donation to the Amplification Fund to benefit all 175 participating organizations. Checks need to be made out to The Panhandle Gives. All donations to the fund will be distributed amongst the participating nonprofit organizations.

The Amarillo Area Foundation is the only community foundation serving Texas’ northernmost 26 counties. Since its inception in 1957 and into the future, the Foundation provides grants and services to strengthen nonprofit organizations.
