Death at Comanche Trail Golf Course determined to be accidental drowning


The Amarillo Police Department Homicide Unit has determined that the cause of death for a man found at a local golf course was an accidental drowning. There were no signs of assault or injury.

Monday morning, Amarillo police officers were called to the Comanche Trail Golf Course at 4200 south Grand Street on a deceased person. An employee of the golf course located the person and called for emergency services. 

The deceased was identified as 53 year old William Patton.
