Ice cream cart vendor shot and robbed in north Amarillo


This past Friday evening, Amarillo police officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of N. Manhattan Street on a shooting. The victim, a 23-year-old male, was pushing an ice cream cart when the suspects shot and robbed him. 

The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money and the victim’s personal items. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Witnesses described one suspect as a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, and a mask. The second suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male wearing a white shirt, tan pants, and a mask. The second suspect was possibly riding on a scooter.
