Stabbing in San Jacinto sends man to the hospital with life threatening injuries

Wednesday afternoon, Amarillo police officers were dispatched to the 200 block of S. Florida on a subject having been stabbed.

When officers arrived, they found a 67 year old man had been stabbed about three hours prior to the police being called. The injured male was taken to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.

There were two other men in the home when officers arrived, and they were detained and questioned about the incident. Officers learned that there had been a large group at the home at the time of the stabbing, but many left before officers were called.

After interviewing witnesses, the suspect was identified as 39 year old Jonah Fletcher. Fletcher was arrested and booked into the Potter County Detention Center for the offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
