Two people arrested for having gun on Tascosa High School property

Late Monday afternoon, APD School Liaison Officers at Tascosa High School received information that there was possibly a student on school property with a gun. The description that was given to officers was a male wearing grey shorts and a black shirt and a female wearing a light blue long sleeve shirt.

Officers and administrators located Sir Alek Jaeron Gonzalez and a juvenile female standing in the AISD owned parking lot south of the school. As officers approached, Gonzalez and the female walked away.

Gonzalez was stopped and the female evaded officers before being caught. A school employee observed the female throw a purse as she was running. A gun was located inside of the purse.

Through their investigation, officers determined that Gonzalez and the juvenile female had both been in possession of the gun while on school property.

Sir Alek Gonzalez was arrested and booked into the Potter County Detention Center for Prohibited Weapon/Weapon Free Zone. The female was placed into the Youth Center of the High Plains.
