Arrest made in death of Amber Guyger trial witness

A man has been arrested and two other suspects have been identified in connection with the murder of Joshua Brown after he testified in the murder trial of former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger.

Dallas Assistant Police Chief Avery Moore said at a Tuesday news conference that Jacquerious Mitchell, 20, was arrested, and Michael Mitchell, 32, and Thaddeous Green, 22, were wanted.

Moore said that Jacquerious Mitchell told police that all three men came from Louisiana to purchase drugs from Brown. He added that officers were told Thaddeous Green shot Brown 2 times.

He said that police issued warrants for capital murder against all three men.

Brown testified during Guyger's trial after which she was sentenced to 10 years after she shot and killed her neighbor Botham Jean in his apartment.

Brown testified during the trial that he met Jean on Sept. 6, 2018, the day he was shot. He said that he heard voices that sounded like a surprise meeting before hearing gun shots.

He said that he heard Guyger leave the apartment after "crying, explaining what happened, what she thought happened, saying she came in to the wrong apartment," according to CNN.

Officers reportedly found Brown on the ground late Friday with multiple gunshot wounds.
