An historic collaboration between the City of Amarillo, Amarillo College (AC) and Amarillo National Bank (ANB) will provide free bus service throughout the city for Amarillo College students, faculty and staff.
The unique agreement, approved by Amarillo City Council in May, provides free transportation from Amarillo City Transit for those with an AC identification card – students, faculty and staff. ANB is providing $25,000 to fund the service, which begins Aug. 15.
A news conference is scheduled for Monday (Aug. 12) at 11 a.m. at the AC clock tower on the Washington Street Campus. City Manager Jared Miller and AC President Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart will be in attendance.
