WT student-athletes named to LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll

West Texas A&M had 119 student-athletes named to the annual Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll announced on Thursday morning by the league's offices located in Richardson, Texas. A total number of 1,176 student-athletes from across the conference earned honors for the 2019 spring semester.

Angelo State posted the highest number of student-athletes on the honor roll with 144 members. Texas A&M-Commerce was second with 139 honorees, while Eastern New Mexico was third (131), UT. Permian Basin fourth (125) and WT (119) fifth.

Of the 1,176 student-athletes to be recognized, 357 had a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester led by football (45), followed by softball (38), women's soccer (35), volleyball (35) and women's track & field (34). WT had a total of 28 student-athletes earn perfect marks led by football with four followed by men's track & field, women's soccer and equestrian with three.

The Commissioner's Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters with student-athletes qualifying based on grade point average of the current semester. To be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 GPA and be on the roster.
