Sunday evening, a Stinnett police officer conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 136. An investigation ensued when the officer developed reasonable suspicion that a criminal act was being committed.
The officer used information and knowledge gained from attending training in highway drug interdiction to further the investigation. This training, along with the assistance of Hutchinson County and DPS led to seizing felony amounts of marijuana, and a large amount of cash.
Jose Martinez, Claudia Ordonez, and Lucian Ferriabough all from Oklahoma, were arrested for possession of marijuana. All three were booked into Hutchinson County Jail.
Martinez received an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance.
