There will not be a regular meeting of Amarillo City Council on Tuesday (July 30).
City council members will be attending a team building and strategic planning workshop. The workshop is for council members and senior staff to discuss and develop team building, strategic direction and plans for the city.
City council members may discuss numerous broad topics such as public safety, infrastructure, development, community services, parks and recreation, water resources, public works, finance, council pillars, policies and procedures and other matters related to the desired direction and plans for the City as well as general issues and matters related to the current and future needs and expectations for the city.
The city council may reach broad consensus on the mission, values, priorities, expectations, milestones, funding options and opportunities for the City but no final decision or vote will occur.
There will also not be a public comment forum on Tuesday (July 30.)
The next regular meeting of Amarillo City Council will be Aug. 6 at 1 p.m. at City Hall. Public comment will begin at noon.
