The Dominican Republic native is currently tied for second in the Texas League with five wins on the season after he earned his fifth victory of the season at Corpus Christi on Sunday afternoon and is also tied for ninth in strikeouts in the Texas League with 60. The Soddies starter has held opposing batters to a .218 batting average which is the best among all other arms in the Texas League.

The 24-year-old was voted as a Mid-Season All-Star with Short-Season Tri-City in 2016 and 2017 and earned Northwest League Pitcher of the Week honors in 2017.

Ramirez becomes the third Sod Poodles player this season to earn the league's weekly award and first pitcher to do so for the Sod Poodles in franchise history. The weekly honor marks the second of his career.
