Man hospitalized after car chase and standoff in Moore County

On Sunday December 30th, 2018, deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence in the West Subdivision in reference to a suicidal subject. The caller was able to provide the deputies with a description of the vehicle the subject was driving.

Moore County Sheriff’s located the vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop. The subject failed to stop for the deputies and a chase ensued.

The subject left the West Subdivision and began travelling west on U.S. Highway 87. The suspect was travelling at speeds exceeding 100 mph. The suspect turned around and began heading east back towards the West Subdivision.
