Littlefield police arrest armed teen: 'Solid person of interest' in recent burglaries

Early Sunday morning, Littlefield police officers arrested 17 year old Patrick Jordan Johnson. At approximately 4:00 am. Johnson was seen by a patrol officer with at least 1 or 2 other males. The male subjects fled the scene, but Johnson was later identified and apprehended.

Johnson was brandishing what appeared to be a gun that was later confirmed to be a semi-automatic pistol. Johnson was arrested without incident.

The identity of the other person(s) is unknown. One may go by the nickname of "Shawn Shawn", possibly a black male.

Johnson was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention w/Previous Convictions and Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon. He was also booked for an outstanding warrant out of Lubbock for Burglary of a Vehicle.

Later in the morning a report of a vehicle burglary was made in the 500 Block of E. 11th. In that burglary, a firearm was stolen. This firearm was later confirmed to be the semi-auto pistol in Johnson's possession.

Additional charges of Burglary of a Vehicle and Theft of a Firearm, were added to the previous list of charges against Johnson.

Johnson is now a solid person of interest, but not a confirmed suspect, in the rash of vehicle burglaries that occurred on the night of August 21 and early morning hours of August 22. Those investigations remain active.

Anyone with any information regarding these Burglaries or the identity of "Shawn Shawn" are urged to contact the Littlefield PD at 806-385-5161. You will remain anonymous.
