Brandon Hall joins WTAMU basketball team

West Texas A&M head men's basketball coach Tom Brown has announced the addition of Emporia State transfer Brandon Hall for the 2018-19 campaign. Hall joins Marshal Johnson, Derrick Geddis, Brant West and Mar'Qualen Grant as newcomers for the Buffs.

"Brandon is an extremely gifted athlete that can get going downhill very quickly to attack the rack. He is also very capable of playing off the ball and can knock down 3's" said Brown "He has played in a very tough conference, was coached very well and will be ready to compete for us right away. Brandon is a competitor as he leaves it all on the court in practice and games. We are very excited to welcome Brandon Hall to our Buff Program."

Hall, a 5'11 guard, comes to Canyon following three seasons at Emporia State. As a junior in 2017-18, the talented guard started all 28 games for the Hornets as he led the team in scoring with 14.1 points per contest. Hall was named an Honorable Mention All-MIAA selection for his efforts on the court.

The Arlington, Texas native earned Second Team All-MIAA accolades as a sophomore in 2016-17 as he led the Hornets with 13.7 points per game, shooting 40% from the floor while dishing out a team-high 113 assists. Hall ranks eighth on the ESU freshman-scoring list with his 234 points in 2015-16 to finish third on the team with 8.7 points per game.
