Leal's moving to new location in Amarillo

Victor Leal announced Wednesday morning that Leal's Mexican Restuarant will be relocating from it's currently location to the old Furr's building in The Shops in Wolflin on Georgia Street. Leal said he plans to remodel the old Furr's building to make Leal's "the premiere hospitality place in town."

"Well dear friends it's now official- Leal's of Amarillo will be relocating to the old Furr's building in The Shops in Wolflin on Georgia.

"We plan an extensive remodel that will include a banquet room big enough for 100 guests; a beautiful bar featuring the best Mescal and Tequila and a patio-type room to hosts you year round.

"We will showcase our 100 years of making tortillas in an area up front so you can watch and taste.

"Our goal is to be the premiere hospitality place in town.

"Here's to Amarillo and the surrounding area. Thank you for your amazing and loyal support..we love being here and look forward to continue serving you!" Leal said in a post on Facebook.

Leal said the popular restaurant will move to its new location in January 2019.
