Allsups' stabbing investigation leads to discovery of dead man, suspect arrest


The Pampa Police Department, while executing a search warrant for a male suspect involve in an aggravated robbery yesterday at an Allsups convenience store in Pampa, discovered a deceased body and made one arrest.

The search warrant was executed at the suspects possible residence in the 500 block of N. Wynne at just after midnight this morning. The suspect was not located but during the search of the home, officers discovered the deceased body of an unidentified male subject.

The body was sent to Lubbock for autopsy.

Overnight, investigators intensified their search for the suspect. Members of the Pampa Police Department/Gray County SWAT team executed a search warrant at just after 5 a.m. in the 1100 block of Ripley.

A male suspect was taken into custody.

Twenty-three-year-old Aaron Zachary Sackett of Pampa was charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in relation to the assault at Allsups yesterday morning.
