NCAA Volleyball Tournament: Lady Buffs stop No. 12 Tarleton State in four sets

The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M live to play another day as they topped the second seeded and rival #12 TexAnns of Tarleton State in four sets on Thursday afternoon during the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Quarterfinals at the Regis Fieldhouse in Denver, Colorado.

WTAMU pick up its 50th victory in the NCAA Division II Volleyball Postseason, which ranks third most all-time behind the University of Tampa (66) and Concordia-St. Paul (61).

The Lady Buffs hit .215 as a team with 57 kills on 172 swings with 20 attack errors to go along with 55 assists, seven service aces, 89 digs and 11 total blocks in the win.

Tarleton State registered 49 kills on 184 attempts with 30 attack errors to hit .103 on the afternoon with 48 assists, two aces, 85 digs and seven blocks.

Sophomore Taylor Kress led the way offensively with 15 kills on 46 swings with two attack errors to hit .283 on the afternoon followed by Destiny Jones and Erin Clark with 10 kills each, Selena Batiste paced the WT offense with 39 assists to go along with 11 digs for a double-double while Chandler Vogel led all players with 29 digs in the win.
