Lady Buffs fall to Regis in South Central Regional Championship

The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M and the #9 Regis Rangers put on a show in front of a big crowd during the 2017 NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championship on Saturday night at the Regis Fieldhouse in Denver, Colorado. The two teams split the opening two frames before Regis pulled away to claim the South Central Regional Title in four sets. 

The Lady Buffs hit .118 as a team on the night with 39 kills on 152 swings with 21 attack errors to go along with 36 assists, four service aces, 66 digs and an impressive 13 total blocks in the loss.

Regis finished the night hitting .182 with 61 kills on 170 attempts with 30 attack errors to go along with 58 assists, seven service aces, 82 digs and 10 total blocks.

Sophomore Taylor Kress led the way offensively for the Lady Buffs as the Grapevine product finished off a great Regional Tournament with 14 kills on 44 swings with six errors to hit .182 on the night to go along with 13 digs for a double-double. Selena Batiste dished out 31 assists while Chandler Vogel led the Lady Buffs with 15 digs on the night.
