Three people dead, one injured after Clovis fire

On Sunday afternoon, the Clovis Fire Department and police officer were dispatched to the 200 block of Calhoun Street in reference to a structure fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters noted a small, detached out building in the back yard of the home. This outbuilding was engulfed in flames. Firefighters were told people were still inside of the structure.

Clovis firefighters battled the fire and when they were able to enter the structure found three people inside. All three individuals were deceased.

A fourth person was been able to escape the structure and was ultimately treated at Plains Regional Medical Center.

The investigation is being coordinated by Detectives of the Clovis Police Department and Clovis Fire Department Fire Investigators.

Names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of their next of kin. More information will be forwarded as the investigation progresses.
