Meeting scheduled to discuss proposed fees and operating standards for commercial vehicles at airport

Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport would like to invite interested stakeholders and patrons to participate at a community meeting about a proposed ordinance change that would authorize reasonable fees and operating standards for commercial ground vehicles providing fares to and from the Airport.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Kritser Conference Room, 10801 Airport Blvd., Terminal Building.

Airport staff will be on hand to discuss the draft ordinance and answer any questions. The ordinance changes seek to establish uniform commercial ground vehicle operating standards, provide revenues to maintain Airport systems that support commercial ground vehicle traffic, and compensate the Airport for administration and enforcement of operating standards.

Participants of the meeting are encouraged to park in the Preferred Parking Lot. At the conclusion of the meeting, Airport staff will validate parking.
