The Buffs jumped out to an early 9-2 lead through the first four minutes of the game capped on a triple from sophomore Jordan Collins.

Chavlovich scored in the paint for a 13-5 lead off a miscue by the Mustangs with 12:41 left in the first half.WNMU came back and cut the deficit to three at 15-12 with a 7-3 run, but senior Jordan Evans buried a triple for an 18-12 lead with 8:25 left in the first half.

The Mustangs again erased the deficit and a triple from Davis Wade gave WNMU its first lead of the game at 22-20 with 6:24 left in the half, courtesy of a 10-4 run.

Collins buried another triple putting WT back in front moments later and freshman Gaige Prim scored in the paint for a 25-24 WT lead with 4:49 left in the half, as the Buffs never relinquished the lead the rest of the game.

WT, leading 29-28 with 3:09 left in the half, used the third triple of the half from Collins and built the lead back to eight on a 10-1 run for a 38-30 lead with 32 seconds left as Quaid scored in the paint.

The Buffs settled for a 39-32 lead at halftime, using an 11-3 run over the final 3:09 of the half.

Senior Rylan Gerber hit a triple for a 51-40 lead with 15:39 left and Quaid later put in a tip-in for a 57-44 lead with 12:27 remaining.

A layup from O'Shayne Reid cut the WT lead to 62-54 with 7:49 left, but that would be as close as the Mustangs would get the rest of the way as WT built the lead to as many as 17 and settled for the 76-62 win.
