Amarillo police make second arrest in weekend murder: One suspect still at large

On Thursday, Amarillo police officers arrested 27 year old Christopher Yost in the 4300 block of SW 51st Avenue. He has been booked into the Potter County Detention Center on his murder warrant.

Police are still searching for 27 year old Kyle Monnet. He is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Monnet is a white male, 6’3’’ tall, and weighs 200 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

On Tuesday, Anna Marie Jewell Powers, 22, was arrested out of a residence in the 3900 block of Justin Drive. She was booked into the Potter County Detention Center for murder.

This past Sunday morning, Amarillo police officers were sent to the 800 block of Moore Street to investigate shots being fired in the area.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Police identified the victim as 23 year old Joshua Daniels.

Daniels was transported to a local hospital where he later died of the wound. An autopsy was ordered by Justice of the Peace Richard Herman.
